  • Data we collect with cookies and similar technologies (see “Cookies and similar technologies” below)
  • Approximate location data (derived from IP address)
  • Data about your use of the Service, such as feature usage, interactions, and purchases (if applicable)

Data we collect from our partners

We may use third-party partners, such as platform providers, social networking sites, data analytics providers, and advertising networks, to supplement information we have about you, such as:

  • Data we receive if you link a third-party tool with the Service (where available)
  • Demographic or coarse location data (such as determining approximate location from IP address)

Why do we collect your data

We use your data for a variety of business purposes, such as:

To make the Service work

To perform our contract with you (or take steps at your request), we process data necessary to:

  • Create accounts and allow you to use the Service
  • Operate and maintain the Service
  • Verify and confirm payments (if applicable)
  • Provide and deliver products and services you request
  • Send Service-related communications

To make the Service more suitable for users

We have a legitimate interest (or similar legal basis under applicable law) to collect and process necessary data to:

  • Develop and improve the Service and user experience
  • Manage our relationship with you
  • Provide social features as part of the Service (where applicable)
  • Customize your Service experience
  • Respond to your comments and questions and provide support
  • Send you related information, such as updates, security alerts, and support messages
  • Enable you to communicate with other users (where applicable)

To show personalized advertisements (where applicable)

If the Service contains advertising or marketing features, we may process data to deliver, target, and improve advertising, where permitted by law and, when required, based on your consent. You can manage your preferences in Service settings and/or your device settings as described below.

To keep the Service safe and fair

In order to keep the Service safe and fair, to fight fraud, and ensure acceptable use, we may process necessary data to:

  • Analyze and monitor use of the Service and its social features (where applicable)
  • Moderate user-generated content or chats (where applicable), automatically or manually
  • Take action against fraudulent or misbehaving users

We may use automation in connection with support and safety processes. Where required, we will notify you of the purpose and, where applicable, the third-party technology in use. You may request manual review where applicable.

To analyze, profile, and segment

For the purposes above, we may analyze, profile, and segment collected data to better understand usage patterns, improve the Service, and enhance safety and performance, subject to applicable law.

With your consent

With your consent (where required), we may process your data for additional purposes described at the time of collection.

Where applicable, we may collect and use device identifiers to display and personalize in-app ads and to measure ad performance. Depending on platform and permissions, this may include advertising identifiers (IDFA, GAID), vendor identifiers, IP address, device ID, and other device identifiers (country, OS version, device model, client version). We may also use hashed identifiers (such as hashed email) for matching and attribution, where permitted by law and, where required, based on your consent.

You can manage consent in Service settings and limit ad tracking in your device settings. Opt-outs are specific to each browser and device and may take some time to take effect. For mobile advertising in apps, you can reset your Advertising Identifier and, depending on your device, opt out of interest-based ads (Android) or enable “Limit Ad Tracking” / disable app tracking (iOS).

We may use advertising and measurement partners who operate ad networks and mediation platforms, facilitate and participate in ad inventory bidding, and help detect fraud. These partners may process certain device identifiers for fraud detection based on their legitimate interest.

Who can see your data

Apart from Mobile Stars, your data can be accessed by others in the following situations:

Other users

If the Service includes social features, other users may be able to see certain profile information, in-Service activities, and messages you post, depending on your settings and the Service features.

Our service providers

Mobile Stars uses vendors who help provide the Service. These vendors process your data only according to Mobile Stars’s instructions to provide the Service and perform tasks such as hosting, support, analytics, advertising (where applicable), and fraud prevention.

Other companies and public authorities

In order to verify payments (through payment providers, if applicable) and combat fraud and illegal activity, we may disclose data to other companies and organizations and provide it to public authorities in response to lawful requests. We may also disclose your data based on your consent, to comply with the law, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of us, our users, or others.

Advertising and social media partners (where applicable)

The Service may include features from partners, such as social media interaction tools, functionalities through APIs/SDKs, and in-app advertising. These partners may access certain data (such as IP address, mobile identifiers, pages visited within the Service, approximate location, and time of day) and operate under their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review their policies to learn more about their practices.

Where permitted, we may share or combine certain data with third-party advertising partners for interest-based advertising (also known as online behavioral advertising). If you prefer not to share personal data with advertising partners, follow the instructions in “Your rights and options” below.

International data transfers

Our Service may be global by nature and your data may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your country of residence. Where required, we use lawful transfer mechanisms and safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses or other legally recognized safeguards) to protect your data.

Your rights and options

Opt out of marketing emails and other direct marketing

Where allowed under applicable laws, Mobile Stars may send you marketing communications based on an existing customer relationship or your consent. You may opt out of promotional communications by following the instructions in those communications or by changing your Service settings (where available). You may still receive non-promotional communications, such as messages regarding the Service, security notices, or policy updates.

Push notifications

We may send push notifications through our mobile applications. You may opt out at any time by changing the settings on your device.

Opt out of targeted advertising (where applicable)

You can opt out of interest-based advertising on mobile applications by checking the privacy settings of your Android or iOS device and disabling app tracking permissions and/or selecting available ad personalization opt-out options. You can also manage advertising preferences in Service settings (where applicable).

Access the personal data we hold about you

If you request, we will provide you a copy of your personal data in an electronic format, subject to applicable law.

Your other rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to correct your data, have your data deleted, object to how we use or share your data, restrict processing, and withdraw consent. We will respond to requests within a reasonable timeframe and in accordance with applicable law.

To protect your privacy, we may take steps to verify your identity before fulfilling your request. Where permitted, you may designate an authorized agent to exercise your rights on your behalf, subject to verification and applicable law. You have the right not to receive discriminatory treatment as a result of exercising your privacy rights.

Cookies and similar technologies

Like most online services, we and our partners use cookies and similar technologies to provide and personalize the Service, analyze use, measure performance, target advertisements (where applicable), and prevent fraud. Cookies and similar technologies allow us and our partners to store preferences and track activities within the Service. Partners may operate under their own privacy policies.

We and our partners may collect information about interactions with unaffiliated websites and applications that use our technologies. This may allow us to infer a common user behind multiple devices or browsers and link them into a device graph, in order to:

  • Detect and prevent fraud
  • Improve the Service
  • Enable cross-device continuity (where applicable)
  • Analytics, personalization, and attribution
  • Limit the number of times you see the same advertisement across devices (where applicable)
  • Provide personalized advertising inferred from browsing patterns (where applicable)

You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but some parts of the Service may not function properly. Here are links to popular browsers where you can adjust cookie and web data settings:

  • Apple Safari
  • Google Chrome
  • Microsoft Edge
  • Mozilla Firefox

For display advertising on the web, you can also limit certain tracking by visiting:  http://www.aboutads.info/choices  and  http://www.youronlinechoices.eu/.

On some of our websites, we may use third-party analytics, telemetry, and marketing providers for the purposes described above. Where required, we ask for your consent on the site. Where used, examples may include:

  • Google Analytics (visitor and usage analytics)
  • Google Ads (ad targeting, analytics, and reporting)
  • Meta/Facebook Pixel (marketing measurement)

How do we protect your data

Security safeguards

We develop and implement administrative, technical, and physical security measures designed to protect your data from unauthorized access and against loss, misuse, or alteration.

Data retention

We retain your data for as long as your Account is active or as needed to provide the Service. We may periodically de-identify unused accounts and regularly review and minimize data where appropriate.

If you ask us to remove your personal data, we will retain data as necessary for legitimate business interests and legal obligations, such as compliance, dispute resolution, and enforcement of our agreements, where permitted by law.

Children

Protecting children’s privacy online is important to us. Generally, our Services are not directed to children under 13 (or other age as required by local law), and the Services do not knowingly collect personal data from children except as described below.

For Services that are not directed to children but may appeal to them, we may take additional steps based on age to limit access to certain features. When a user indicates they are under the applicable age, we may limit features such as social sharing and chat, and limit data processing to what is necessary to support internal operations. Where applicable, we may process email addresses solely to authenticate an account through verification, store them securely (including in hashed form where appropriate), and not use them for marketing.

Some Services may use a higher age limit (such as 16) to provide a safer experience. Certain features may be available to young users only with parental or guardian consent, where required. Parents or guardians may later change choices about children’s use of specific features.

If you are a parent or guardian and wish to review personal data collected from your child, or have it modified or deleted, contact us as described in “Contact us”. If we become aware that a child has provided personal data contrary to this policy, we will delete it unless we have a legal obligation to keep it, and take appropriate steps on the account.

Regional disclosures

Depending on where you live, additional disclosures may apply (for example, for certain U.S. states, Turkey, or South Korea). If Mobile Stars operates in those regions and such disclosures are required, we will provide region-specific notices on this page or via dedicated disclosure pages.
